How Do I Love eBooks? Let Me Count The Ways.

The arrival of Valentine’s Day may be synonymous with cards, flowers, and chocolate. But in our world – it’s the love of books that we find the most endearing. Don’t get us wrong, we would never turn down a chocolate heart but give us a good read and we’re happy. Some may call us book lovers, some may even get fancy and call us bibliophiles – but whatever the word we’re proud of our label and if you’re anything like us (which we hope you are) you’ll enjoy these special Valentine collections put together just for you.

We’re talking reads for the lovers, the singles, the lovers scorned, or even those that love their books a little hot under the ‘covers’ (see what we did there?). Enjoy these reads curled up by yourself or with your special someone and no matter how you decide to read them, we hope these eBooks make your Valentine’s Day extra special.

Swoon-worthy Stories

The Fault in Our Stars

“I’m in love with you, and I’m not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I’m in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we’re all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we’ll ever have, and I am in love with you.”

Sigh. You will need your tissues for this one.

Pride and Prejudice

“A girl likes to be crossed a little in love now and then. It is something to think of.”

One of the most universally loved and admired English novels, this tale of rural romance is regarded as a classic treasure.

Outlander

“Because I wanted you.” He turned from the window to face me. “More than I ever wanted anything in my life,” he added softly.

Romance, historical fiction, and time-travel. A swoon-worthy hero and a page-turning love story for the ages. A staff favorite, Diana Gabaldon’s story-telling brings rich characters to life and transports us to another time.

The Cowboy Takes a Bride

If you love romance, you love Lori Wilde. Throw in a romance story with a cowboy and some great chemistry – our day just got a little steamier.

Not Your Mama’s Romance

50 Shades

Mr. Grey. Anastasia Steele. Need we say more? Laters, baby.

Bared to You

“I feel you,” she breathed, as intoxicated by his ardency as she was by the finest claret. “You have become everything to me.”

We’re blushing. And you will too.

Executive Decision

An easy read that will set your heart a flutter. You may want to stay inside while reading this one.

Love the One You’re With

Little Pink Raincoat

A little Coco Chanel, a lot Carrie Bradshaw, with a dash of Maureen Dowd—a hip, hilarious collection of mini-profiles in shopping and romantic courage. The perfect read for a girls night in.

Mating in Captivity

“Love rests on two pillars: surrender and autonomy. Our need for togetherness exists alongside our need for separateness.”

Wise, witty, and as revelatory as it is straightforward, Mating in Captivity is a sensational book that will transform the way you live and love.

The Soulmate Secret

“Just as a seed grows with the warmth of the sun, so our positive qualities grow when we put our attention on them.”

The Soulmate Secret will show you how to take control of your romantic destiny by using the Law of Attraction.

The Art of Revenge

Gone Girl

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.  Amy Dunne may be a little crazy but we have to admire her dedication and attention to detail in getting the ultimate revenge on her husband, Nick. We all like a good plot twist….but this one – well this one, might take the cake. Hold on tight.

The Count Monte Cristo

Quite possibly the “gold standard” of all revenge stories…the best ever told.  How many other books span decades of meticulous planning and preparation for not only revenge on one person but on several people? Watch your back 😉

 Sweet Revenge

Who says revenge isn’t sweet? This revenge is one of the sweetest we have ever seen. That’s the mission of the Sisterhood, seven women that know how to turn wrongs into rights and won’t stop until revenge is served – swift, delicious, and oh-so-sweet.

Watch Ellen’s Announcement:  Ellen Is Partnering with Entitle Books

Now, we know the rules of any club thanks to Tyler Durden but in this case — we do talk about book club especially when we’re announcing the 1st featured book in Ellen’s Book Bar! During Monday’s show with Amy Poehler, Ellen announced that she selected Amy’s Yes Please as the 1st featured book of the month.

Ellen Announces Yes Please as the 1st Featured Ellen’s Book Bar Pick!

In Amy Poehler’s highly anticipated and hilariously candid first book, Yes Please, Amy offers a collection of stories, thoughts, ideas, lists, and haikus from the mind of one of our most beloved entertainers. Powered by Amy’s charming and hilarious, biting yet wise voice, Yes Please is chock-full of words and wisdom to live by.

A smart, funny, and honest read, you may get a handful of life advice but be warned, you’ll be reading it through tears of laughter. If we can’t be best friends with Amy Poehler, this book at least gives us the next best thing.

Reading more, saving money on great eBooks, and giving back —

now, that’s what we call a winning combination.

Happy reading!
